Complete genome sequence of Acinetobacter junii IK2 isolated from biofilm formed on mild steel substrate

Acinetobacter junii is a Gram-negative, aerobic bacteria isolated from the biofilm formed on stainless steel coupons immersed in sea water microcosm setup. Here, we present the complete genome sequence of Acinetobacter junii IK2, which consists of 3215808 bp with a G + C content of 38.97%. Whole genome sequence (WGS) of Acinetobacter junii through Illumina Novaseq 6000 platform was performed and described. The resulted genome data provides insights of biofilm forming microbial community, its evolution in specific environment and adaption in to mild steel substrate.
