Toxoplasma gondii, a widespread foodborne protozoan parasite, infects nearly all warm-blooded animals and often causes severe inflammatory tissue damage. Based on the interplay between gut microbiota and host immunity, this study explores the metabolic regulatory networks of the gut microbiome during T. gondii infection by using acute infection models with wild-type and low-virulence strains.

刚地弓形虫(Toxoplasma gondii)是一种广泛传播的食源性原生动物寄生虫,可感染几乎所有温血动物,常引发严重的炎症性组织损伤。本研究基于肠道菌群与宿主免疫的相互作用,采用野生型与低毒力菌株构建的急性感染模型,探究弓形虫感染过程中肠道微生物组的代谢调控网络。
