Collaborative Research: Antarctic Ecosystems across the Permian-Triassic Boundary: Integrating Paleobotany, Sedimentology, and Paleoecology

Permian and Triassic fossil plants collected from the Beardmore Glacier area, central Transantarctic Mountains, Antarctica. These include permineralized peat, permineralized and petrified wood, and compression-impression fossils. Seed plants and vascular cryptogams are represented. All specimen data, including identifications of taxa, are databased. Permian floras are dominated by members of the seed fern group, Glossopteridales; Triassic floras by corystosperm seed ferns.
