EGFP was photobleached from one cell (not expressing orc6 during mitosis) , and the mean fluorescence intensity (MFI) was measured over time in its partner. Cytoplasmic connection exists between the two cells, and the MFI of the unbleached cell decays until it equilibrates with that of the connected cell, indicating that abscission is not complete.
