As part of the joint federal / Länder measurement program for the North and Baltic Seas, the parameter "alcane, hexadecane, aliphatic hydrocarbon (16 C-atoms) in sea water" was determined in seawater.作为联邦与德国各州联合开展的北海（North Sea）及波罗的海（Baltic Sea）监测计划的组成部分，科研人员对海水中的烷烃（alcane）、十六烷（hexadecane）以及含16个碳原子的脂肪烃（aliphatic hydrocarbon）参数进行了测定。
