资源简介:
Vibrio coralliilyticus strain RE22 is a naturally-occurring marine gammaproteobacterium that is pathogenic toward larval oysters. It was originally isolated from a shellfish hatchery on Netarts Bay, Oregon. This bacterium has been particularly problematic in shellfish hatcheries, where it has been associated with intermittent outbreaks of vibriosis and high mortalities of larval shellfish. Outbreaks of V. coralliilyticus in general have led to shortages of seed oysters needed for commercial shellfish operations. The RE22 strain was originally thought to be a Vibrio tubiashii; however, it was later identified as a V. coralliilyticus. This is the first complete genome of V. coralliilyticus (5,784,972 bp), which consists of two chromosomes (3,532,203 and 1,915,494 bp) and a megaplasmid (337,275 bp).
