Medico-legal Risks associated with Laser Therapy: A Cross-sectional Descriptive Analysis of Closed Cases over a 10-year Period in Canada

Laser therapy is a source of medico-legal litigation and patient harm, particularly when non-physician operators perform laser procedures. The factors contributing to medico-legal risks remain unclear. Our study characterizes the medico-legal landscape in laser therapy for physicians offering laser therapy and identifies factors contributing to laser-related complaints.
