Foot and ankle trauma represents a significant clinical concern due to its prevalence and the potential for long-term complications cause of the possibility of getting it due to our daily activities or any incorrect movement that cause the injury. An estimated 25% of all injuries treated in emergency departments involve the foot and ankle. This includes fractures, sprains, and soft tissue injuries. Common complications arising from these traumas, such as chronic pain, instability, and post-traumatic arthritis, are also explored. Understanding these factors is crucial for improving prevention strategies, optimizing treatment protocols, and enhancing patient outcomes.
