2019 inventory of administrative posters from 1789 to 1963 by the municipal archives – Ville d’Orléans

Inventory of administrative posters on the city of Orleans from the period 1789-1963 kept in the municipal archives (state in 2019).

The Orléans Métrople Cultural Service, the Municipal and Metropolitan Archives ensure the collection, processing, preservation and communication to the public of archives produced by local public structures (City, Metropolis, CCAS, etc.) and private (associations, families, etc.). These missions, governed by the Heritage Code, are organised in the public interest both for the management and justification of the rights of natural or legal persons, public or private, as well as for the historical documentation of research.

The dataset covers 2701 administrative posters from the municipal fund. They are inventoried to the room in a 15Fi subseries. This lot represents a collection of documents flattened for conservation reasons. It does not represent all the administrative posters kept in the municipal fund. Most posters are stored in the administrative files to which they relate.
