Stock of dwellings; property, host type, residential, region

This table contains data on ownership of the stock of dwellings on 1 January, composed of various sources. This table provides insight into the ownership of the housing stock by buying and renting homes. Rental properties are further subdivided into dwellings owned by housing corporations and properties owned by other landlords. In addition, this table provides insight into the status of habitation; subdivided by number of inhabited and unoccupied dwellings. The data is further broken down by parts of the country, provinces, COROP areas and municipalities.

Status of the figures:
The figures from 2012 to 2022 are final.

Amendments as of 19 January 2023:
In the previous version of this table, the 2015 map module was set by mistake. This has been restored in this version for all years.

When will there be new figures?
The differences between the definitive figures and the provisional figures are so small that it has been decided that no distinction is made between provisional and definitive. If quality problems occur in the sources, improved figures will be posted on an occasional basis. New figures for 2023 are expected in November 2023.
