Common buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench) is an important alternative crops that originated in the northwestern corner of China and widely planted all over the world. However, common buckwheat is highly sensitive to drought stress, and the underlying molecular mechanisms response to drought stress have not been elucidated definitely yet. Transcriptomic analysis was performed to investigate the gene expression and regulation profiles in common buckwheat cotyledons and roots at drought stress conditions.
