Datisca glomerata nodules were induced by the uncultured strain Candidatus Frankia datiscae Dg1 which goes back to soil below a Coriaria nepalensis plant in Pakistan (Persson et al. 2011). Nodule RNA was prepared for sequencing using the TruSeq cDNA preparation kit (Illumina, San Diego, CA, USA). Paired-end sequencing to 100 bp was performed on an Illumina HiSeq2000 instrument using v. 1.5 flow cells, resulting in about 132 million paired-end reads.
