This statistic shows the volume of food wasted per capita in Norway in 2011 and 2015, by product group. In 2011, the food types being wasted with the highest volume consisted of fruit and vegetables as well as of dinner leftovers. The same accounts for 2015. That year, roughly 13 kilograms of everyday or dinner leftovers were thrown away per capita, which was a decrease compared to 2011, when the amount was roughly 10 kilograms per person. Fruit and vegetable waste remained the same, with a volume of approximately 11 kilograms per capita.
