Distribution of FFH habitat types in North Rhine-Westphalia WMS

The Service Distribution of Habitat Types in North Rhine-Westphalia contains regional spatial data for the distribution of FFH habitat types within the meaning of the INSPIRE Annex III topic “Habitats and Biotopes (HB)”. The data show the distribution in a 10x10km grid (UTM) as “analytical units”. The data are valid for the last reporting period in accordance with Article 17 of the Habitats Directive (2013-2019). The object metadata for the UTM grid cell (analytical unit, object geometry) contains information on inspireId, coding scheme (ReferenceHabitatType-SchemeValue) e.g. Habitat Directive, Code (ReferenceHabitatType-CodeValue) e.g. “7110”. The data shows distribution of FFH habitat types in Germany. Special features: These are only raster cells. The data is freely accessible. The data shall be collected as a basis for the FFH reporting obligation under Article 17 of the Habitats Directive and digitised for these purposes. The data must be made public on the Internet in North Rhine-Westphalia on the basis of § 3 of the Land Nature Protection Act.
