Transcriptomic analysis of the livers of mice acutely challenge with IL1B

Livers from mice subjected to a single IL1B injection were collected and used to prepare RNA for transcriptomics analysis. Male C57BL/6J wild-type (WT) mice were purchased from Charles River at 7 weeks of age and housed in standard cages in a temperature-controlled room (22–24°C) with a 12-h dark–light cycle. They had ad libitum access to tap water and standard chow and were allowed to acclimate for 2 weeks prior to initiation of the experimental protocol. Acute liver inflammation was induced by intraperitoneal injection of recombinant mouse IL1B using 0.5 µg/ mouse (BioLegend, 575102) or vehicle (PBS) for 3h. Livers were collected and used to prepare RNA which was then processed for analysis using MoGene-2_0-st Affymetrix microarrays according to standard procedures.
