本数据集基于澳大利亚国家测绘委员会1975年发布的《地图精度标准》，采用多比例尺、多精度等级的最优数据源采集，比例尺覆盖1:500至1:250000。对于90%的清晰定义要素，其点位误差在对应比例尺下不超过0.5mm，具体换算为：1:500比例尺对应0.25米，1:2000比例尺对应1米，1:4000比例尺对应2米，1:25000比例尺对应12.5米，1:50000比例尺对应25米，1:100000比例尺对应50米。当前正持续推进数据集空间位置与精度的升级工作。
