The mammals of the Neusiedlersee region (Austria)

From 1951 to 1958 I worked as an ornithologist at Lake Neusiedl. that’s why mammals too. In about 15 000 trap-nights, 1300 small mammals were caught and examined, 500 bellows and 830 skulls were collected, 773 bats were marked and finally 7400 mammals were determined and evaluated from boulders of owls and birds of prey from various collection points scattered across the entire area of investigation.
