Vital Space

This is a conceptual large-scale sculpture with an opportunity for the viewer to physically interact with an object. Young and talented Lorena Olivares from Chile explained the concept of her sculpture: 'Go in the inner space, feel the heart of the stone. The sculpture is a place, offers a space where people are invited to come and from there to perceive their own inner space. The stone is a material from a huge age, its solidity keeps information from thousands of years, the experience of being inside the stone is an opportunity to connect with the ancestral wisdom that exists within ourselves and we have often forgotten'.本作品为一件概念性大型雕塑，为观者提供了与实体展品开展物理互动的契机。来自智利的青年才俊洛雷娜·奥利瓦雷斯（Lorena Olivares）阐释了其雕塑作品的创作理念：‘步入内部空间，感受石材的核心。这件雕塑本身便是一处场域，为人们提供了驻足其间、并由此体察自身内在世界的契机。石材是源自亘古时期的物质，其坚实的质地留存着数千年的讯息；置身石材内部的体验，是一次联结我们体内常被遗忘的先祖智慧的契机。’
