The quaternary base map is available as a level map in digital form. The map represents the base of the quaternary deposits and thus their thickness. The thickness of these deposits of the various ice ages ranges from a few meters to over 450 meters in the Elster-era gutters. The tertiary layers present under the quaternary deposits are displayed in the map of prequarter subsurfaces.
The geological map of the quaternary base 1:50,000 is a product from the geological 3D structural model Hamburg.
