Prevalence of Selected Pharmacogene Variants in Emirati Patients with Moderate to Severe Asthma

This study provides novel pharmacogenomic data from an underrepresented population and identifies significant associations between CYP2D6 variants and asthma susceptibility and severity in Emiratis. The findings support the potential clinical value of integrating pharmacogenomic profiling into asthma management strategies. Larger studies incorporating functional validation and treatment response data are warranted to advance precision asthma therapy in the UAE.
