Replication Data for: Effects of Short-Term Testosterone Therapy on Epigenetic Markers: Insights from Hormone-Naïve Transmen

This dataset supports a prospective longitudinal study investigating the short-term effects of testosterone therapy on key epigenetic markers in hormone-naïve transgender men. It is intended to facilitate replication of the study’s statistical analyses and to support further research into the molecular and biological effects of gender-affirming hormone therapy. The data were collected from 36 hormone-naïve transgender men undergoing intramuscular testosterone treatment over a 12-week period. Clinical and molecular measurements were taken at four time points: baseline, week 4, week 8, and week 12. Contents include: Epigenetic markers (Surtuin-1, High Mobility Group Box 1, Alu Methylation, and SAM/SAH ratio), metabolic parameters, hormonal levels and participant demographics.
