Dataset of Tourist Profiles in Sucre

We obtained the data from the platforms Foursquare and TripAdvisor througha semi-automatic scraping process of tourist sites in the department of Sucre,using the BeautifulSoup library, since access to the APIs of these two platformsis limited and this scraping tool is being improved to extract data from differenttourist platforms. We carried out a collection process covering 45 tourist sitesfrom Foursquare and 32 from TripAdvisor. The extracted data include the placename, ID, rating, municipality, and comments. Altogether, we collected 1298comments, thus providing a comprehensive observation of tourists’ experienceat these tourist sites in Sucre. This consolidated dataset offers essential infor-mation for analysis in the field of local tourism in Sucre.
