Books published with the support of the (c)Poland Translation Program (Instytut Ksiażki/ Book Institute)

The dataset constitutes a list of books (translations from Polish into multiple languages) published with the suport of the (c)Poland Translation Program, and consists of two spreadsheets: 1) Raw data obtained from the Polish Book Institute (Instytut Książki) in March 2023 for the period 1999-2022 (with the following categories: Application No., Name of Publisher, Name of Author, Original (Polish) Title, Translation Title, Language of Publication, Name of Translator. Published with permission of the Book Institute. 2) Manually revised and supplemented data for the period 2008-2022, prepared by Zofia Ziemann and Bogumiła Motyl based on spreadsheet 1 with the above as well as added categories, including Country of Publication and Genre). The language of the dataset is Polish. The purpose of the dataset was the analysis of the Book Institute's translation policy, as manifested in the (c)Poland program, across time. The results of the analysis are presented in the related publication.
