Suction Dredge Special Regulations - 2020 [ds788]

The purpose of this dataset as of the date of publication is to provide a mapped representation of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) regulation setting forth the year-round and seasonal restrictions by “Class” governing the use of vacuum or suction dredge equipment in California rivers, streams, and lakes. Boundaries shown are approximate. Members of the public considering the use of vacuum or suction dredge equipment are responsible for knowing the exact regulation language that applies to any specific location in California. Importantly, the use of vacuum or suction dredge equipment as defined is currently prohibited by statute in California. (Fish and G. Code, 5653.1, subd. (b); see also Id., 5653, subd.
