资源简介:
Pulmonary non-tuberculous mycobacterial infection (NTM) is a challenging and increasingly prevalent infection. Antimicrobial resistance is common and may be associated with poor outcomes. We have previously demonstrated that Mycobacterium abscessus, though previously thought to be an enironmentally-acquired pathogen, is transmitted between CF patients. This was done using longitudinal CF patent samples from a single CF centre. We now have the opportunity to see if this result generalises to other NTM, and in non-CF patients. We have a collection of ~2500 samples from the Royal Brompton Hospital. These are from both bronchiectasis and CF patients, and include single isolates as well as longitudinal samples. Most of these have antimicrobial susceptibility profiles, and there is corresponding gene expression and microbiota data from the patients. This data is part of a pre-publication release. For information on the proper use of pre-publication data shared by the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute (including details of any publication moratoria), please see http://www.sanger.ac.uk/datasharing/
