RPG 2018 – Graphic Parcellar Registry

Regulation (EC) No 1593/2000 introduced an obligation in all Member States to locate and identify agricultural parcels.

To meet this requirement, France has set up the Graphic Parcellar Register (GRP) which is a geographical information system allowing the identification of agricultural parcels. Thus, every year, farmers send the administration an area declaration file which includes, in particular, the drawing of the growing islands they operate and the crops grown there.
The location of the islets is on the scale of 1:5000 on the photographic background of the Ortho comic book (IGN) and their update is annual.
This database is therefore a large-scale and regularly updated description of the majority of agricultural land.

The data available are the contours of the “anonymised” islets of the RPG and their cultural occupation represented by the majority crop group of the island.

The data have been cleaned up:

\- Adding crop types according to codes (Table Merge)

\- Addition of common columns, postal code, Insee code according to plots (space analysis under QGIS)

\- A zoom on the Basque country has been realised
