Number of suicides among male students in Japan AY 2022, by school grade

Schools in Japan reported 230 cases of self-inflicted deaths among the male student body in the academic year 2022, with high school students being the victims in the majority of cases. The highest number of students committing suicide were, with 56 cases, visiting the third grade of high school, which is the final year in the regular 6-3-3 education system in Japan.
