The operation Coyuntural Services Index (ICS) offers a set of indicators of a cyclical nature of the evolution of sales and staff employed in the services sector in the Basque Country, both in nominal and real terms. It is calculated for Trade and Services and by subsectors, following the National Classification of Economic Activities (CNAE 2009), for the Basque Country and by historical territory. Corrected calendar effects indices (number of working days and public holidays) offer comparable values year-on-year, while quarter-on-quarter comparisons use seasonally adjusted indices (corrected the effect of periodic fluctuations of less than one year).
