With the substantial improvement of people's living quality, livestock and poultry raised through mountainous ecological breeding have become highly popular and well-received products in the market. The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has also enabled more robust security supervision for breeding facilities. The data used for analyzing rat intrusions in breeding farm management is collected by a breeding security management system equipped with sensors and high-definition (HD) cameras. The collected daily monitoring data includes recognition time, regional location, breeding farm name, pigsty number, pig count (unit: head), chicken count (unit: feather), equipment number, alarm type, and other relevant information. This system performs real-time monitoring of abnormal intrusions in daily breeding operations. When emergencies occur, managers can quickly understand the on-site situation, locate the intrusion point, and handle the issue timely to ensure the daily survival of animals in the breeding farms.
There are a large number of rats in the Lvliang Area of the Loess Plateau, and they often move in groups, posing a threat to breeding feed and other resources. Regular analysis of the on-site situation reflected by the captured images from alarm data equipment facilitates daily supervision of rat intrusion behaviors by managers, helps prevent major breeding safety incidents, and provides support for breeding equipment maintenance and management. Additionally, based on the scale of alarm data, on-site images, time and other relevant information over a certain period, animal breeding enterprises in the region can gain insights into the local specific conditions, and formulate and evaluate marketing and production investment plans. Publicly reporting alarm data over a certain period can help grasp the local wildlife ecology, providing references for the regional management and governance of wildlife hazard occurrences, as well as relevant prediction support.
1. Daily monitoring data collected from the breeding security management system based on sensors and high-definition cameras includes recognition time, regional location, breeding farm name, pigsty number, on-hand livestock inventory (unit: head), equipment number, alarm type, captured images and other relevant data.
2. First, sensitive information is encrypted and data preprocessing is conducted. Based on the recognition results from sensors and high-definition cameras, when an abnormal intrusion is detected, the camera is activated to capture images and video clips, which are then uploaded to the cloud server. Object detection is performed using an object detection algorithm trained on deep learning neural networks, and the image attributes including type and score are output. The target type is identified: if the target type equals 13, it indicates a rat intrusion, and the system will send an intrusion alarm to the platform, requiring manual intervention. Managers can then quickly understand the on-site situation, locate the intrusion location, and handle the issue timely to ensure the daily survival of animals in the breeding farms.
