Sediment grain size data from samples collected during R/V Weatherbird II cruise, Northern Gulf of Mexico, February 5-8 2013, WB-1310

This dataset reports grain size for five sediment samples collected using multicores during the R/V Weatherbird II cruise in the Northern Gulf of Mexico from February 5-8, 2013. Grain sizes are reported as percent of the sample for 47 size classes. The percent mud content for each sample is calculated and samples are classified as mud or sandy mud. Results are reported in triplicate for each sample and the average for each sample is included. Samples were analyzed in the laboratory by laser diffraction.

本数据集记录了2013年2月5日至8日，在墨西哥湾北部随R/V Weatherbird II号考察船航次中，采用多管沉积物采样器采集的5份沉积物样品的粒度数据。粒度数据以47个粒级的样品占比形式呈现。数据集计算了每份样品的泥质含量占比，并将样品划分为泥质或砂质泥两类。本数据集为每份样品提供了三次重复测定结果，并附带其平均值。所有样品均通过激光衍射法在实验室完成分析。
