资源简介:
This dataset contains two files.<br>The vulnerability_curves.csv contains the vulnerability curves of petioles and stems for four woody species measured using (<i>Betula pendula</i>, <i>Liriodendron tulipifera</i>, <i>Populus tremula </i>and <i>Olea europaea</i>) measured using micro computed tomography (microCT). Percentage loss of hydraulic conductivity (PLC, %) is assessed by either calculated theoritical conductivity (tk) or vessel counting (vc).<br><br>The segmentation_database.csv contains the water potential (-MPa) inducing 50% loss of hydraulic conductivity in stem (P50stem) and distal portions including midrib (P50midrib), petiole (P50petiole) or leaf (P50leaf), together with the methodology on how P50 of distal portion is measured and corresponding references. For methodology, hydraulic based method (Hydraulic) typically involved the measurements of flow rate of fluid, and can incorporate outside-xylem pathway unless measurement is conducted on midrib or petiole. While for micro computed tomography (microCT) or optical visualization (Optical) measure the dynamics of vasculature during dehydration only. Other methods include observing the emergence of air bubbles under pressure following the air injection to vessels (Direct observation), thus excluding the influence of outside-xylem pathway.<br>
