Eros Drawing His Bow

This intricate statue depicts Eros drawing his bow. The head, torso, right arm, left shoulder, right leg and left leg (to the knee) are in medium-grained Greek marble. The hands, left arm, lower left leg, feet, wings and base are in Carrara marble, added in the last quarter of the 16th century. The sculpture originates from the 2nd Century AD.这件精巧繁复的雕塑刻画了厄洛斯（Eros）拉弓的姿态。其头部、躯干、右臂、左肩、右腿及左腿（至膝盖处）均采用中粒希腊大理石打造；手部、左臂、左下腿、足部、羽翼及底座则为16世纪最后二十五年间增补的卡拉拉大理石（Carrara marble）构件。该雕塑的创作年代可追溯至公元2世纪。
