Images from an Archaeological Evaluation at Manor House, Riding Mill, Northumberland, August 2022

This collection consists of images from an archaeological evaluation by Pre-Construct Archaeology. Work occurred on land at Manor House, Riding Mill, Northumberland, in August 2022. Ten trenches were excavated across the proposed development area. The structural remains of a building were encountered in Trench 10. Although only a single shard of undiagnostic glass was recovered from the structure itself the cottages likely to date to the 17th century. No features or deposits of archaeological significance were encountered in Trenches 1-9.
