Timeline & Glossary of Events in modern China

This dataset provides a list of the conventional expressions used to name events in modern Chinese history (1939-1949) in historical literature and other common sources such as internet web sites. It was established with the view to collect as complete as possible the expressions used in historical literature for data mining and NLP processing. The dataset is bilingual (English, Chinese). There are duplicates since the same event may have been labelled by different expressions. The dataset also provides the dates of events and can serve as a timeline of modern Chinese history. <em><strong>Dataset prepared by the whole ENP-China Team</strong></em>.本数据集收录了1939年至1949年中国现代史相关事件在历史文献及互联网网站等常见来源中的惯用命名表述。本数据集旨在尽可能全面地收集历史文献中的相关表述，以供数据挖掘与自然语言处理（Natural Language Processing）任务使用。本数据集为中英双语格式。由于同一事件可能存在多种命名方式，数据集中包含重复条目。此外，数据集还提供了各事件的发生日期，可作为中国现代史的时间线参考。本数据集由ENP-China团队全体成员编制完成。
