资源简介:

This dataset contains the results of a five‑year trend analysis (2019–2024) of Patient‑Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) collected from adult patients hospitalized in Slovenian acute care hospitals. The data originate from national PREMs surveys conducted by the National Institute of Public Health, covering surgical, internal medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, orthopedics, and oncology departments. A total of 17,848 valid questionnaires were included. The dataset provides longitudinal indicators related to hospital admission, communication and respect from healthcare staff, patient involvement in decision‑making, coordination of care, pain management, ward environment, discharge information, and overall experience. Trends were examined using logistic and linear regression to identify statistically significant improvements, deteriorations, or stable patterns over time. The analysis shows positive trends in several areas, including hospital admission processes, medication information, privacy, pain reduction, cleanliness, and consistency of information. Small but statistically significant negative trends were observed in clarity of explanations before procedures, politeness and respect from physicians, opportunities to discuss concerns, and nighttime noise. Most indicators remained stable across the five‑year period. This dataset supports quality‑improvement efforts, enables monitoring of patient‑centred care, and provides an evidence base for hospitals and policymakers aiming to enhance patient experience in Slovenia.
