Main Economic Sector maps

* Economic data was supplied by Quantec for the year 2009. For each sector Gross Value Added (GVA) was used as it is a measure of the value of goods and services produced in an area, industry or sector of an economy. The concept of Gross Geographic Value Added (GVA) - is used as a basis for making estimates of regional economic activity - is broadly similar to what is more generally known as Gross Geographic Product (GGP).
