To determine the effects of fibroblast crosstalk on healthy airway epithelial cells, we performed RNA sequencing on isolates from airway epithelial cells co-cultured with control and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) fibroblasts. Overall design: Primary airway epithelial cells from healthy control donors were cultured at air-liquid interface with human fibroblasts isolated from either control or IPF lungs. Mono-cultures of control and IPF airway epithelial cells were used for comparison. RNA was isolated from epithelial cells only at various timepoints. Illumina TruSeq library prep was performed on 500 ng from each sample and ran on the NovaSEQ 6000 with 80 million reads per sample. Raw data not provided due to patient privacy concerns.
