Mesophotic reefs offer thermal refuge to the 2023 Caribbean mass bleaching event

Included are the raw data for vertical bleaching surveys that took place in Little Cayman Island, Cayman Islands, on September 16, 2023. Surveys were conducted on a shear vertical wall in the Bloody Bay Marine Park from 10m to 50m depth. All corals observed within 1m of either side of the transect tape were identified to species and assigned a health status (Bleached, Pale, or Healthy). Temperature along the vertical gradients was measured continuously with HoboProV temperature loggers. Code for data analysis included in submitted manuscript is also included.
