Transcriptome analysis of PCBP1-deleted livers.. Mus musculus

Poly-rC binding protein 1 (PCBP1) is a cytosolic iron chaperone in mammalian cells. Mice lacking PCBP1 in hepatocytes exhibit defects in liver iron homeostasis and spontaneously develop fatty liver disease. We performed RNA-Seq analysis to explore transcriptome changes in PCBP1-deleted livers under different iron supplementation. RNA was isolated from livers of PCBP1 KO and wild-type mice fed diets with normal 50 ppm or high (20,000 ppm) iron content.
