Characterization of Rhododendron arboreum transcriptome from leaf and floral tissue. Rhododendron arboreum

To enrich the genetic resource of R. arboreum, cDNA isolated from the two tissues was sequenced on the NGS platform. The study aimed to annotate the transcriptome to elucidate tissue-specific expression and the active gene networking in the species towards adaptive responses. A molecular marker database was also constructed to further support the population studies.
