Yanomami skin and related environmental microbiota (metagenomes and metatranscriptomes).

Cutaneous samples from select body sites of an indigenous population in the Amazon (Yanomami) were collected for metagenome analysis (arm, axilla, back, face, retroauricular crease, scalp, toe web) and metatranscriptome analysis (chest). Accompanying environmental samples were collected to evaluate interconnections between the people and their environment.
