Groundwater abstractions greater than 12.000 m³ in 2015

The map shows the locations of permanent groundwater abstraction plants from which more than 12.000 m³ of groundwater was extracted in 2015. Abstractions for groundwater remediation and construction well drainage are not indicated on map, nor are groundwater abstraction sites for open soil energy (WKO). The abstraction and infiltration of water usually occurs in the first aquifering package, sometimes in deeper aquifer packages; the discharge of brine into the second aquifer package. Drinking water extraction is within the boundaries of the water extraction area (part of the environmental protection areas for groundwater).
