Identifying characteristics of Listeria monocytogenes (Lm) transmission through food trade is very important and necessary for rapidly tracking Lm source and controlling dissemination of listeriosis. Here, we isolated Lm strains from food coming from 14 countries/regions during 2003 to 2018 at Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau. Total 44 Lm strains were isolated, and their genomes were sequenced using high-throughput sequencing.
