Transcriptomic analysis of radish (Raphanus sativus L.) spontaneous tumor

Spontaneous tumors can develop in various plant species, usually, in the context of a specific genotype, like mutants or interspecific hybrids. One example of such tumor-forming varieties is the collection of radish (Raphanus sativus L.) lines that form spontaneous tumors on the taproot during the flowering. The connection between tumor formation and altered phytohormone balance has been previously explored. In this work, we analyzed the differential gene expression in the spontaneous tumors ofradish versus the lateral roots using the RNA-seq method.
