Diversity and composition of soil prokaryotic communities in different soybean-maize management systems

This study provides insights into the impact of different management practices on the soil microbial community in soybean and maize systems. By analyzing the composition and diversity of microbial communities , we demonstrate the crucial role of management practices in maintaining soil health. The findings highlight the potential benefits of incorporating the pasture species Urochloa brizantha as a fallow species in crop rotation, which can positively impact the microbial community and enhance soil quality. Overall, the study emphasizes the need for sustainable management practices that promote soil health and support the long-term productivity of agricultural systems.
