SEMANTIC AND ETYMOLOGICAL REPRESENTATION OF THE CONCEPT OF HOMELAND IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LITERARY WORKS

This article examines the semantic and etymological representation of the concept of “homeland” in English and Uzbek literary works. The notion of homeland is considered an important linguocultural category that reflects national identity, historical memory, and cultural values. The study explores the origin, semantic development, and artistic expression of the concept in both languages through a comparative approach. The findings reveal not only the shared semantic features of the concept but also its culture-specific interpretations in English and Uzbek literature.本文探析英语与乌兹别克语文学作品中"故土"（homeland）概念的语义与词源表征。故土这一概念被视为反映民族身份认同、历史记忆与文化价值的重要语言文化范畴。本研究采用比较研究方法，探析该概念在两种语言中的起源、语义演化与艺术表达。研究结果不仅揭示了该概念的共通语义特征，还展现了其在英语与乌兹别克语文学中的文化特异性阐释。
