Papa Clemente XIV

This is a sculpture of Pope Clement XIV, born Giovanni Vincenzo Antonio Ganganelli, head of the Catholic Church and ruler of the Papal States from 19 May 1769 to his death in 1774. At the time of his election, he was the only Franciscan friar in the College of Cardinals. To date, he is the last pope to take the pontifical name of Clement upon his election. He is best known for his suppression of the Society of Jesus.本雕塑的原型为克莱门特十四世教皇（Pope Clement XIV），其本名乔瓦尼·温琴佐·安东尼奥·甘加内利（Giovanni Vincenzo Antonio Ganganelli）。他于1769年5月19日至1774年逝世期间，担任天主教会（Catholic Church）领袖与教皇国（Papal States）统治者。当选教皇之时，他是枢机主教团（College of Cardinals）中唯一的方济各会修士（Franciscan friar）。截至目前，他仍是最后一位在当选时以"克莱门特"作为教皇名号的教皇。他最为世人熟知的事迹，便是取缔耶稣会（Society of Jesus）。
