A specialized ChIP protocol to facilitate the investigation of protein-DNA interactions in E. diaphana gene regulation is presented. The cross-linkingand chromatin extraction steps were optimized for efficient immunoprecipitation and then validated by performing ChIP using an antibody against the histone mark H3K4me3.
