This dataset consists of water column measurements collected from a trace metal CTD during the CLIVAR/GO‑SHIP repeat hydrography section I09N from 22 March to 1 May 2007, a meridional transect from the Bay of Bengal to the South Indian subtropical gyre. Station metadata, hydrographic data, and cruise documentation are provided by the CLIVAR & Carbon Hydrographic Data Office (CCHDO) under expocode 33RR20070322. A trace-metal clean rosette was used to collect seawater from the upper 1000 m of the water column and then subsampled in a clean van for salinity, nutrients, and dissolved and particulate trace metal samples. Filtered (<0.4 µm) samples were collected for shipboard analysis by flow injection methods for dissolved Fe and Al concentrations. Total suspended matter samples were collected onto 0.4 µm filters and analyzed for particulate Al, Si, P, Ca, Mn, and Fe by ED-XRF at NOAA-PMEL. The timestamp is in UTC.
