资源简介:
Ten multi-channel instruments (GUV 511, Biospherical Instruments Inc.)
have been installed during the 1990s in South and Central America. One
of the radiometers is located in Puerto Rico, three in Chile and six
in Argentina. The stations names, geographic positions and time period
are as follows: 1) Chile: a) Santiago ( Lat :-33.42, Long : 70.66 ),
from 1995 to present. b) Valdivia (Lat :-39.80, Long : 73.25 ), from
1995 to present c) Punta Arenas (Lat :-53.09, Long : 70.55 ) from 1995
to present 2) Argentina 1: (The information in this Metadata
corresponds to the following four instruments). a) Jujuy (Lat :-24.17,
Long : 65.02 ), from 1995 to present b) Buenos Aires (Lat :-34.55,
Long : 58.46 ), from 1995 to present c) Puerto Madryn n Playa Union -
Trelew (Lat :-43.3, Long : 65.05 ), from 1995 to present . (The
instrument was moved from Puerto Madryn to Playa Union in 1996, and
from Playa Union to Trelew in 1998. The three sites are to a distance
of about 100km. d) Ushuaia (Lat :-54.9, Long : 68.32 ), from 1995 to
present 3) Argentina 2: a) Bariloche (Lat :-41.13, Long : 71.42 ),
from 1998 to present 4) Argentina 3: a) Trelew (Lat :-43.25, Long :
65.31 ), from 2000 to present 5) Puerto Rico a) Las Lajas In 1997, a
project was funded by the IAI (Inter-American Institute for Global
Change) to build a regional network with seven existing instruments
(three in Chile and four in Argentina). At first, the radiometers were
calibrated by Biospherical Instruments Inc. with a traveling reference
GUV. Consistent databases for year 1995, including quality control,
were built at the UV and Ozone Laboratory, CADIC, Ushuaia. In 1999, a
new project was approved by the IAI, CNR 026 entitled "Enhanced
Ultraviolet-B Radiation in Natural Ecosystems as an added Perturbation
due to Ozone Depletion", which includes six different research areas
related to UVR: a) UV Network including instrument calibration and the
creation of consistent databases among instruments, with CADIC,
Ushuaia as the calibration center (in collaboration with Biospherical
Instruments); b) Effects of UVR on marine ecosystems; c) Effects of
UVR on freshwater ecosystems; d) Effects of UVR on marshes; e)
Modelling; and f) Socio-economic impact of UVR. The GUV511 is a
temperature stabilized multi-channel radiometer, which measures
irradiances with moderate bandwidth channels (near 10nm) at 305, 320,
340 and 380 nm, plus PAR (400-700 nm).
